SAMT hikes stake in Sun TV group firm to 20%

Media house Sun TV Network today said South Asia Multimedia Technologies (SAMT), a shareholder of the company's subsidiary South Asia FM Ltd (SAFL), has increased its stake in SAFL to 20 per cent.

SAMT has increased its stake in the equity of SAFL from 6.98 per cent to 20 per cent, Sun TV Network said in a filing to the BSE.

However, the company did not state any financial detail regarding the hiking of stake.

At present, Sun TV Network holds 59.15 per cent stake in SAFL, it added.

Shares of Sun TV were trading at Rs 271, up 0.69 per cent in late afternoon trade on the BSE.
