Sandip Das quits as CEO of Maxis

Johan Dennelind will take over as the new CEO from 1 July

Sandip Das has quit Malaysian telecom company Maxis as its CEO and director.

According to a statement by Maxis, Das whose tenure as the CEO of Maxis ends on June 30, 2013, has requested for an early release. The Board of Maxis has decided that Das will relinquish his office as a CEO of Maxis from April 15, 2013.

Das will be replaced by Johan Dennelind, who will take over as the new CEO of Maxis from July 1, 2013.

Das worked with Maxis for six years and has overseen Aircel, Maxis' India operations. He earlier worked with Hutchison Essar for about 13 years.
