The 21st Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, which is trying the multi-crore Satyam scam case, postponed further hearing in the case to August 3.

The court adjourned the case, keeping in view a stay order issued by the Metropolitan Sessions Judge (MSJ) on Wednesday. The MSJ's order pertained to a criminal revision petition filed by Ch Srisailam, one of the accused in the Satyam case.

Earlier, in the 21st Additional CJM, Srisailam had objected to conducting the examination ahead of arguments on the chargesheet. He contended that besides being prejudicial to his legitimate rights, it could also cause irreparable damage to his defence.

The court, however, rejected his plea -- prompting him to challenge the same in the MSJ court.

The MSJ is likely to hold further hearing on the stay order tomorrow.
