SBI's Q2 consolidated net declines 22.5% to Rs 2,363 cr

Leading public sector bank the State Bank of India (SBI), has posted a 22.51 per cent decline in consolidated net profit (after minority interest) at Rs 2,363.95 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 3,050.99 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Total income of the bank, however, rose sharply to Rs 37,925.44 crore versus Rs 33,101.50 crore.

On standalone basis, however, net profit (after minority interest) during the second quarter of the current fiscal, rose marginally to Rs 2,501.37 crore as against Rs 2,490.04 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total income of the bank on standalone basis, however, rose to Rs 23,813.30 crore from Rs 21,301.04 crore.
