The State Bank group has extended its debit cards cash back campaign up to September 30.

The bank had launched the cash back campaign on July 1 for a period of two months.

"Considering the overwhelming response from the debit card holders, the bank has decided to extend the offer period by another month — up to September 2008," a press release issued here stated.

Besides cash withdrawals and other utilities like fund transfer, donations, mobile top-up and payment of fees, amongst others, State Bank customers can also use their debit cards to pay for purchases, restaurant bills and airline tickets, amongst others.

The bank's debit card holders can avail the offer on the POS transactions made from July 1 to September 30.

They will get three per cent cash back on a spend of Rs 501-5,001, four per cent on Rs 5,001-10,001 and five per cent on Rs 10,001 or above, the release said.

Cash back on transactions (other than on ATM withdrawals and internal transactions) will be credited to customers' accounts within 4-6 weeks of the end of the campaign.

The maximum amount of cash back during the entire period of offer will be Rs 1,000 per debit card, the release said.
