SBI Life, today announced the appointment of Mahadev Nagendra Rao as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Rao has succeeded U S Roy who retired on July 31, the company said in a statement here.
"My mandate will be to focus on the company's all-round growth by leveraging SBI's strong brand equity and its nation-wide presence enabling extension of life insurance to the farthest corners of the country, thus driving life insurance penetration," Rao said.
Prior to this, Rao was Chief General Manager of the Bhubaneswar circle of the bank.
