The Supreme Court (SC) today upheld Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal's (TDSAT) order rejecting a petition filed by Mid Day Group-controlled Radio One FM station for a single frequency across the country.

"We found no infirmity in the tribunal order and hence the petition (by Radio One) is dismissed," a Bench headed by Justice B N Aggarwal and Jutice P P Naolekar said.

Radio One had moved the SC last month after the TDSAT quashed its plea against the government's decision to change the frequency allocated to it in Mumbai.

The SC also rejected Radio One's plea for more time to switch over to the new frequency of 94.3 Mhz from the existing 92.5 Mhz in Mumbai.
