Scope Intl plans to increase headcount to 4,000

Scope International Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank, is planning to create additional facility and to increase total manpower strength to about 4,000 during 2005.
 
"We will be adding additional facility of 50,000 sq ft with a seating capacity of 650 at our Chennai campus and will be increasing the staff strength to about 4,000 during this year," Sreeram Iyer, group head (global shared service centres), Scope International, told a press meet.
 
Only in last September, the company added 50,000 sq ft facility with a seating capacity of 650.
 
Standard Chartered group set up the shared services centres about four year ago in Chennai as a strategic initiative to consolidate all their back office operations.
 
Scope provides it enabled services, including back-office processing, software development, system support, transaction processing, human resource, finance services and other support services to the Standard Chartered group's business in about 55 countries.
