Sebi quizzes two Satyam scam accused in Hyderabad jail

A Sebi team today questioned former executives of Price Waterhouse S Gopalakrishnan and Talluri Srinivas at the Chanchalguda jail here in connection with the Rs 7,800-crore Satyam fraud case.

A five-member team, two officers from Mumbai and three from Chennai, interrogated and recorded the statements of Gopalakrishnan and Talluri, who are in judicial remand along with former Satyam Chairman B Ramalinga Raju, his brother Rama Raju and for Satyam CFO Vadlamani Srinivas till February 21 in connection with the case.

The Sebi officials declined to comment on the matter.

The same team will interrogate former Satyam CFO Vadlamani Srinivas tomorrow from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm in jail.

 

The sixth additional chief metropolitan magistrate yesterday allowed the market regulator to question Gopalakrishnan, Talluri Srinivas and Vadlamani Srinivas.

Earlier, on the direction of the Supreme Court, the market watchdog interrogated and recorded the statements of the company's founder B Ramalinga Raju and his brother Rama Raju for three days from February four.
