Domestic glass major launches two outlets in Mumbai

Jumping on the retail bandwagon, the country's leading glass manufacturer Sejal Glass is all set to establish a construction and architectural glass retail chain with speciality stores across the country.

The company, which lined up an initial investment of over Rs 10 crore in the retail initiative, has launched its maiden retail format "" Glass Galleria.

By opening two retail stores in Mumbai, Sejal has become the first glass manufacturing and processing company in India to diversify into the retail business.

Pioneering in the field of flat glass processing, Sejal Glass, is now one of the leading players in the industry with a commendable market share.

With over 80 per cent of the glass facades in Mumbai being accredited to it, Sejal Group pioneered in introducing an advanced glass processing technology in India.

The company, which offers an extensive range of products that caters to various segments and markets, also broadened its scope of business with complete architectural solutions in India and abroad.

It's architectural glass company "" Sejal Architectural Glass "" is also planning to establish a new glass processing unit in Gujarat.

The new unit will cater to the demand of the architectural sector for high technology flat glass products. Sejal Architectural has at present a manufacturing facility at Dadra near Vapi.

Established in 1994 as a small trading house for flat glass, the company realised that value addition was the key to growth and decided to set up diverse in-house capabilities.

Currently, it is one of the top five processors in India and comprises many companies, each offering a specific product range catering to different segments.

With the current growth plan envisaged in the next four year, the Sejal Group has set turnover target of Rs 1000 crore by the end of 2010.
