Sensex down 67pts; HDFC Bk, Tata Mot drop 3%

The Sensex is now down 67 points at 10,618.

Cipla has advanced over 2% to Rs 219. Dr.Reddy's and Satyam have gained 1% each at Rs 1,327 and Rs 716, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Tata Motors have tumbled nearly 3% each to Rs 756 and Rs 762, respectively. Tata Steel has shed 2.7% to Rs 512.

Maruti, Hindalco and Wipro are down over 2% each at Rs 787, Rs 169 and Rs 483, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, HLL and Infosys are down 1.5% each at Rs 383, Rs 237 and Rs 3,144, respectively.

Out of 2,338 stocks traded so far, 1,211 have declined, 1,049 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
