Sensex down 79pts

The Sensex is now down 79 points at 10,605.

Cipla has gained 2.5% at Rs 219. Dr.Reddy's and Satyam are up over 1% each at Rs 1,330 and Rs 717, respectively.

Hero Honda has dropped 4% to Rs 736. Tata Motors has shed 3.5% to Rs 757.

Hindalco and HDFC Bank have slipped nearly 3% each to Rs 167 and Rs 758, respectively. Tata Steel is down 2.5% at Rs 513.

Out of 2,395 stocks traded so far, 1,282 have declined, 1,026 have advanced and 87 are unchanged.
