Serco, I-T dept tie-up to serve taxpayers

Close on the heels of unveiling its new global BPO capability, Global Services - Serco, today announced partnership with Income Tax Department in providing services to taxpayers across India.

Serco will provide services to taxpayers across the country under the aegis of Aayakar Sampark Kendra (ASK) located at Gurgaon, Jammu, Kochi, Jangipur (WB) and Shillong.

Aaykar Sampark Kendra (ASK) will provide access to information on aspects of Income Tax and other Direct Taxes of India such as Income Tax Returns, Wealth Tax Returns, PAN/TAN applications, payment of taxes, efiling of IT returns, Refund Banker, Income Tax Procedures etc. It will register grievances via telephone and email, assist in getting them resolved in specified timeframes, provide inbound and outbound customer services, and offer multi-lingual support in all regional languages besides Hindi and English.

 

“We have set up centres in several non-metro locations and are seeing significant traction in West Bengal with over 1,000 people employed in the region. The opening of this delivery centre further reinforces our commitment to provide end-to-end services to customers in the domestic Indian BPO market with improved innovation and efficiency,” said Bhupender Singh, CEO, AMEAA, Global Services, Serco.
