Iron-ore exporter Sesa Goa posted a 121 per cent increase in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2010. It stood at Rs 1,212.87 crore versus Rs 547.64 crore a year before. Net revenue, on the other hand, rose 68 per cent standing at Rs 2,403.54 crore versus Rs 1,429.90 crore a year before.
On a standalone basis, the company's net profit surged 82 per cent in the fourth quarter touching Rs 964.33 crore versus Rs 528.77 crore a year ago. Net revenue, meanwhile, grew 37 per cent only touching Rs 1,834.01 crore versus Rs 1,342.28 crore a year before.
The Sesa Goa stock was up 0.33 per cent during morning trade today touching Rs 460.70. It hit an intra-day high of Rs 468 and a low of Rs 457.10 today.
