As many as seven pairs of siblings are among the 100 richest people in the country, says Forbes India.

The list features six pairs, who run their respective family businesses, while the Ambani brothers--Mukesh and Anil--are named separately.

The duos still together are--Shashi and Ravi Ruia, Malvinder and Shivinder Singh, Sudhir and Samir Mehta, Shyam and Hari Bhartia, Kapil and Dheeraj Whadhwan and Bharat and Ravi Sheth.

Mukesh and Anil Ambani have been ranked separately in the Forbes list in the first and the sixth place with a net worth of $27 billion and $13.3 billion, respectively.

The Ruia brothers have cornered the fourth position (with $15 billion), the Singh duo the 16th place (with $4.2 billion), the Mehtas are at the 27th (with $2.5 billion), the Bhartias at the 42nd spot (with $1.5 billion), the Whadhwan have ranked at 86th position (with $650 million) and the Sheths are at the 99th place (with $500 million).

If the Ambani brothers were together, their collective wealth would have been more than whopping $40 billion, though much less than the net worth of the world's wealthiest person Carlos Slim who has a fortune of $53.5 billion and that of Bill Gates who has a net worth of $53 billion.

The Ruias have witnessed an increase of $1.4 billion in their wealth since November last year and Malvinder and Shivender Singh saw their wealth rising by $1.2 billion from 2009 list.

According to Forbes, India is now home to as many as 69 billionaires, from last year's 52 billionaires.

The India's Richest list is topped by industrialist Mukesh Ambani who has a staggering wealth of $27 billion. Steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal and Wipro Azim Premji bagged the second and third position with a fortune of $26.1 billion and $17.6 billion respectively, the magazine said.
