Bangalore-based movie rental services company, Seventymm, is contemplating introducing movie downloads besides looking at forging revenue-sharing alliances with production houses to rent out home videos.

"With the increasing availability of broadband, we are planning to distribute our content online from the first quarter of the next financial year. In terms of growth rates among various entertainment segments, home video shows the maximum potential with the market poised to grow to Rs 2,500 crore by 2011, from the present Rs 650 crore. Owing to this, the film industry may move towards revenue-sharing deals, and we are waiting for the industry to take trajectory towards this," Subhankar Sarkar, chief operating officer of Seventymm, told mediapersons.

The two-year-old company is also set to expand its reach to Kolkata, Kochi, Pune and Ahmedabad by this fiscal end, and add 40 tier-II towns across the country next year.

It expects each of these locations to reach a break-even point in 12-18 months of operation. Seventymm currently has a presence in six cities " Bangalore, Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai and Chennai, including the one launched in Hyderabad today.
