A 12-member Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) team today began grilling Satyam Computer's former Chairman B Ramalinga Raju and two others at the Chanchalguda jail here in connection with the Rs 7,800-crore fraud case.
The SFIO team arrived here at 1040 hrs and went to the cell where Ramalinga Raju, his brother Rama Raju and former CFO Vadlamani Srinivas are lodged, jail sources said.
The Rajus and V Srinivas have received special prison status at the Chanchalguda jail, after the Hyderabad District Collector's order.
The Rajus and Srinivas were being questioned by the SFIO team in the presence of their Counsel Bharat Kumar and two others, they added.
A local court yesterday granted two days to the SFIO to examine and record the statements of the accused in Satyam fraud case.
The team would also interrogate two sacked employees of the auditor Price Waterhouse S Gopalakrishnan and Talluri Srinivas tomorrow.
