Wheat flour exporter Shakti Bhog Foods today promised to hold the priceline of the product at Rs 14.5 a kg in Rajasthan, where it has set up a new mill, regardless of inflation.
The company will sell flour to dealers at a fixed price of Rs 14.5 per kg in local market, even if the prices rose elsewhere, Shakti Bhog Foods CMD K K Kumar told reporters here.
Earlier, steel and cement manufacturers in the country had vowed to hold the priceline of products for a specific time period to contain price rise.
Shakti Bhog had been exporting wheat flour to 40 countries, but had stopped shipments following the Union Government's ban on exports, Kumar said.
The company's new plant in Sitapura, set up at a cost of Rs 3 crore, has a capacity to pack two lakh bags of 10 kg each per month.
