Vernacular social media start-up ShareChat entered the short video fray with the Moj app in 2020 after TikTok was banned in the country, along with other Chinese apps. Earlier this month, the company -- which has so far raised $1.177 billion in funding was valued at $3.7 billion in its last round of fundin -- acquired short video app MX TakaTak in a $700 million deal.
