Japanese electronics major Sharp is planning to launch its entry-level LCD monitors by December in India, even as the company has introduced the world largest LCD TV in the country.
“We will be launching 32-inch and 42-inch LCD monitors in India by the end of this year, as it is necessary to have an entry-level presence to sell the high-end LCDs in the country. However, we will continue to focus on selling the high-end LCDs also,” Sharp Business Systems (India) Managing Director Sunil K Sinha said.
At present, the company sells mid- to high-end (46”, 52” and 65”) LCD monitors in the country.
Meanwhile, the company today launched the world’s largest LCD monitor (108”) in the country. Sharp expect to sell one monitor per month in the country, mainly to security, hospitality and technology firms in the country.
The 108” LCD was launched by the company a couple of months ago.
