Shaw Wallace & Company today said its net profit for the period ended September 30 dipped 71.65 per cent to Rs 1.80 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
The company had a net profit of Rs 6.35 crore in the second quarter FY08, Shaw Wallace & Company said in a filing to the BSE.
Net sales rose to Rs 56.25 cr for the quarter under review, from Rs 46.30 cr in the same period last year.
For the six month ended September 30, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 6.75 cr, against Rs 14.09 cr in the same quarter last year.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 166, up 8.43% on the BSE.
