Shell India to hike LNG capacity at Hazira

Shell India will increase the capacity of its LNG regasification terminal at Hazira in Gujarat to 3.5 million tonne per annum from the current 2.50 million tonne per annum.

"The capacity will be increased in the next few months," said Vikram Mehta, chairman, Shell group of companies in India.

He added that the expansion will be done through bottle-necking of the existing capacity at an investment of not less than $100 million.

The terminal is currently operating at 110% capacity.
