Royal Dutch/Shell today said it may set up a petroleum refinery in India, a country to which it attaches highest priority. "Oil refining and marketing is a priority. There is no reason to say we won't be looking at a manufacturing asset," Vikram Singh Mehta, Shell's India country manager said at business meet today. Shell currently operates three petrol pumps in India for which it sources fuel from domestic refiners. The company plans to set up 2,000 petrol pumps in the country over the next three to five years. |
