Shell to make hydraulic oil for Schwing Stetter

Bharat Shell will produce a superior grade hydraulic oil for engineering company Schwing Stetter's ready mix concrete equipment. It will also market the new product to Schwing's customers.

"The relationship will follow a revenue sharing model by which Shell will hand us a certain percentage of sales of the oil sold to us and our customers," said V G Sakthi Kumar, vice president - marketing, Schwing Stetter.

It is estimated that Schwing and its customers would use around 300 barrel oil for its machinery in a year. Schwing Stetter India manufactures over 1,000 machines in a year. Schwing Stetter will recommend Bharat Shell for its products.

Utpal Ghosh, vice-president, business to business, Bharat Shell, said, "We are delighted to serve Schwing Stetter. Bharat Shell is growing at a rate better than the market, cornering around 22 per cent share in the lube segments."

Germany-based Schwing Stetter is a leading manufacturer of construction related automobile and equipment in the global market. Schwing Stetter India has reported net sales of Rs 300 crore last year.

Schwing Stetter India is the fourth largest subsidiary of Schwing Stetter after Germany , Brazil and the US.
