Entertainment conglomerate, Shemaroo Entertainment, has forged a business partnership with Israel Mobile & Communication Association (IMA) to explore new business opportunities in the mobile entertainment space in the country.
The tie-up was announced by Shemaroo Entertainment's Director, Jai Maroo, and IMA's founder and CEO, Eyal Reschef, here.
"We are in negotiations with several service operators to bring innovative products and solutions to them," Maroo told reporters at a press conference here.
IMA claims to represent 100-odd member companies, which offer a wide range of cutting-edge solutions and services in mobile and communication technologies.
"Our partnership with Shemaroo will enable us to offer our Indian operator customers innovative services and applications of already popular Indian content," Rechef said.
The tie-up is a part of strategy to focus on new media and digital distribution platform as new ways of distributing content, another of Shemaroo Entertainment's Director, Hiren Gada, said.
Six Israeli companies are part of the current visiting IMA team which plans to hold discussions with Indian telecom service providers like AirTel, Vodafone, Reliance, Tata, Idea and BPL, among others.
