SHGs make it big at Foodpro 2005

Around ten self help groups (SHGs) from the villages of Tamil Nadu that participated in the Foodpro 2005, have generated business queries worth Rs 10 lakh from countries like the US, Singapore and many European countries, according to a CII press release.
 
Participating under the banner of Tamil Nadu Welfare Society for Self Help Groups (TNWSSHGS), sponsored by the state's Rural Development Department, the SHGs displayed traditional items, attracting a spot sale of Rs 50,000, the release added.
