Shipping Corporation FY06 net down 27%

Shipping Corporation of India has posted a net profit of Rs 1042.20 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 1419.91 crore for FY05.

According to an official release issued today, total income has decreased to Rs 3584.49 crore for FY06 from Rs 3645.78. crore in FY05.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 350.13 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 611.13 crore for Q4FY05. Total income has increased to Rs 1089.25 crore for Q4FY06 from Rs 958 crore in Q4FY05.
