Shirdi to invest Rs 50 crore on Uttarakhand plant

The company, which manufactures MDF (medium density fibre) board, plain and pre-laminated particle board, decorative laminates, laminated flooring, doors and furniture components, recently started production in its new plant at Pantnagar in Uttarakhand. The plant was set up with an investment of Rs 200 crore.

The plant at Pantnagar manufactures wide variety of products including particleboard, MDF board, pre-laminated board, decorative laminates and flooring.

 

The company official said Shirdi is entering into modular furniture business in some select cities shortly.

"We are shortly entering into modular furniture for both office and home segments," said Rakesh Kumar Agarwal, managing director of Shridi Industry.

The company also plans to introduce products for advance applications in a manner similar to global practice by providing E-I grade products, scratchproof boards and fire resistance board.

The company is implementing capacity expansion for pre-laminated boards and facilities for the manufacture of modular furniture.
