UK-based property consultant Knight Frank on Wednesday promoted Shishir Baijal, the managing director and country head of its India unit, as chairman and managing director of Knight Frank India.
In November last year, Baijal was appointed as managing director & country head of Knight Frank India. Baijal moved to Knight Frank from Everstone Capital. Pranab Dutta, the earlier chairman of the company, retired in September last year.
Alistair Elliott, senior partner and group chairman, Knight Frank said, “We intensified our focus on the Indian subcontinent with Shishir Baijal’s appointment as managing director & country head last November. Appointing him as chairman will have a positive impact on our long-term plans for continued profitable growth, greater productivity, and geographic expansion.”
