Shoppers' Stop to double outlets by FY08

Shoppers' Stop is planning to double the number of departmental stores to around 45 in the next two years.

"We have 20 stores in 10 cities at present, and plan to open 20-25 new outlets throughout the country by 2007-08," B S Nagesh, CEO of Shoppers' Stop, said today.

A majority of the stores would come up in the northern region as a lot of real estate was being released by the state goverments for development of the market, he added.
