Shree Renuka Sugars plans Rs 160cr capex

Shree Renuka Sugars has finalised expansion plans with an outlay of Rs 160 crore.

According to a release issued by Shree Renuka Sugars to the BSE today, the company plans to expand its capacity at the Munoli plant in Karnataka from 2,500 tonne crushed per day (TCD) to 6,000 TCD.

"The company is also planning to increase capacity of its greenfield sugar unit at Burlatti, Belgaum to 8,500 TCD from 5,000 TCD and set up a 15 MW co-generation power plant at the same location," the release said.

The company's total capacity next season would be 20,000 TCD (inclusive of an existing lease of 4000 TCD), and co-generation capacity of 50.5 MW, the release added.
