Shriram EPC bags Rs 260-cr contract for NMDC steel plant

Shriram EPC (SEPC) today said it had bagged a Rs 260 crore contract for installation of a byproduct complex at state-owned mining major NMDC's 3-million tonne per annum steel plant at Nagarnar in Chattisgarh.

The total value of the order is Rs 488 crore, of which the value for SEPC is Rs 260 crore, the company, a leading service provider of integrated design, engineering and construction services for power plants, said in a statement.

The order entails design, engineering, supply of plant and equipment, structural and civil works, erection, testing and commissioning. The schedule for completion of the project is 30 months, it said.

 

Shriram EPC will lead a Consortium in association with Hutni Project of the Czech Republic and Beekay Engineering Corporation to complete the order.

"Over the past several months, the company has shown strong momentum in its order book, particularly in power and municipal services," T Shivaraman, Managing Director & CEO of SEPC, said.
