Shrirams to open 200 more Hariyali Bazaars

DCM Shriram Consolidated (DSCL) is planning expansion of its agri retailing outlets by adding up to 250 stores by December 2007.

Ajay S Shriram, chairman, DSCL, said: "We will rapidly scale up operations of Hariyali Kisaan Bazaars and create a national footprint."

DSCL currently has 54 outlets (Bazaars) in the rural areas of Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. "We will roll out agri retail outlets in Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh within the next six months and in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra thereafter," Shriram said. "We plan to open 200-250 such shops by December."
