Siddhanta Sharma is executive director of IndiGo

Earlier this month, Sharma resigned as CEO of SpiceJet even as the company was on the threshold of getting an investment of $80 million from US investment firm Wilbur Ross.

As head of corporate affairs for InterGlobe, Sharma will look after the company's business interests which include low cost carrier IndiGo and InterGlobe General Aviation which represents aircraft manufacturer Hawker Beechcraft in India. Apart from that Sharma will also look the company's other business interests which include development and management of hotels in partnership with the French major Accor and distribution of Travelport's Galileo GDS.

 

Welcoming Sharma's appointment, Bhatia said, "Sid brings with him a wealth of knowledge, understanding and management experience across industries including domestic aviation. We are delighted to welcome him to Team InterGlobe and see him contributing significantly across our businesses."
