Siemens Q3 net up 43% to Rs 56.51 crore

Siemens Ltd net profit rose by 42.91 per cent at Rs 56.51 crore for the quarter ended June 30,2006 compared with Rs 39.54 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
 
The company's total income rose 70.33 per cent to Rs 1,048.96 crore against Rs 615.83 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
 
The company announced amalgamation of its wholly owned subsidiary Demag Delaval Industrial Turbomachninery (DDIT), in the power segment, and Siemens VDO Automotive (SVDO), in the automotive segment, with itself in November, 2005 and January 16, 2006 respectively.
 
The amalgamation for DDIT and SVDO came into effect from April 01, 2005 and October 1, 2004 respectively.
