The 2009 study would explore new trends and factors that are impacting human capital management in India Inc and would delve into factors like how workplace diversity, synergies of employee personal values and corporate values contribute to making best employers, a company statement said.

It would also explore how new dimensions like personal values, corporate social responsibility and workplace diversity impact human capital management for business growth.

"Our studies have shown that Best Employers attract nearly five times more talent and are able to achieve 35 per cent higher employee retention rates. The 2009 study will see the introduction of some exciting and new research initiatives , " Hewitt Associates India market manager Vishal Pandit said.

The study procedure involves surveying the participating organisations using three instruments developed by Hewitt such as, 'Employee Opinion Survey', 'People Practices Inventory' and 'CEO questionnaire' followed by judging by external jury.      Opinion survey helps in gauging the level of employee engagement and gather information on employee perceptions of their work environment. People Practices Inventory gathers information about philosophies, practices and policies that influence the management of people.

For 2007-08, the Best Employer award had been given to Aditya Birla Group, Satyam Computers Services, Marriott Hotel India and Eureka Forbes among others.

Results of the study would be released in March-April 2009, where key findings would be highlighted.
