Luxury carmaker SkodaIndia is considering a hike in prices of all its models by about Rs 15,000 effective January 1, 2007. The company, which sells luxury sedans Octavia (in the range of Rs 11.08-11.19 lakh) and Superb (in the range of Rs 20.36-22.38 lakh), said the price revision has been necessitated due to rising input costs. "We have been reviewing the price implications due to the steep increase in input costs," Lukas Folc, managing director of SkodaIndia, said in a statement. Japanese carmaker Toyota had, yesterday, announced a possible price hike of 1-2% from January due to the hike in input costs. |
