Delhi based Skylark Group of Companies on Monday forayed into Odisha market with the launch of its wide range of products.
The company, engaged in a range of businesses in the field of micro finance, real estate, hospitality and entertainment, fast moving consumer goods and social entrepreneurship, currently has presence in West Bengal, Punjab, Delhi and parts Uttar Pradesh.
“After operating successfully in these state we have forayed into the state with the launching of mustard oil, palm oil, soya oil, spice products,” said Selim Akter, Managing Director of the company.
Similarly another group company, Skylark Micro Credit Services has launched operation of Gramin Seva Cooperative Credits Society in the state through which it intends to penetrate deep into the rural Odisha and reach out to joint liabilities groups and self help groups who are in need of loans to take up entrepreneurial activities.
Besides, the company is planning to invest Rs 500 crore in next five years in the state, including Rs five crore for setting up a drinking water plant.
