The scrip of auto component maker Bosch today jumped by over 6% to touch a one-year high on the bourses after the company reported 35.45% increase in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.
Boosted by the strong numbers, the stock rose by 5.07% to close the day at Rs 6,969.80 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). In intra-day trade, shares of the company shot-up by 6.1% to touch a 52-week high of Rs 7,038.
On the National Stock Exchange also, Bosch's counter attracted buyers and the scrip climbed 4.67% to settle the day at Rs 6950.
In terms volume, over 72,988 shares of the company were traded on the two bourses.
Bosch Ltd today reported 35.45% jump in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 to Rs 274.39 crore.
The company, which follows January-December fiscal, had posted a net profit of Rs 202.57 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal.
Meanwhile, the BSE 30-share key index Sensex closed the day with a loss of 96.66 points at 19,448.69.
