Top e-commerce portal Snapdeal has appointed Amit Maheshwari, senior vice president of Fashion, as the CEO of Exclusively.com, which is a premium fashion portal that it acquired in Febraury this year.
Maheshwari is largely credited with turning fashion & lifestyle category into one of the largest segments for Snapdeal, with the category slated to become a $2-billion business within the current year, claims the company.
Kunal Bahl, CEO and Co-Founder, Snapdeal said,"Maheshwari has been acore member of Snapdeal's leadership team and the driving force behind the exceptional successes of its fashion business. In this new entrepreneurial role, Amit will be at the helm of Exclusively’s growth and we are certain that with his expertise and intricate knowledge of fashion business, Exclusively will very soon be India’s largest premium fashion destination.”
Snapdeal also recently appointed Animesh Sharma as Chief Technology Officer of Exclusively and Abhishek Passi as Chief Operating Officer further strengthening the leadership team together with Sunjay and Mohini Guleria.
Maheshwari said: “The move to Exclusively is a continuation of my journey that began three years ago at Snapdeal. We are focussed on building a highly scalable premium fashion business at Exclusively.
