Leading e-commerce marketplace company Snapdeal seems set to acquire logistic firm GoJavas for a deal worth Rs 200 crore. Snapdeal plans to go for half-a-dozen acquisitions this year and may spend around $1 billion for the same. The deal with GoJavas is in advanced stages and could be announced in the next 10-15 days, it is learnt that Snapdeal is already close to sealing a Rs 2,500-crore deal to acquire online mobile recharge platform Freecharge.
When contacted, Snapdeal spokesperson refused to comment. The New Delhi-based company has made five acquisitions so far and the new acquisitions are part of Kunal Bahl-led company's plan to turn up the heat on rival Flipkart.
