Sona Koyo plans Rs 35cr capex

Sona Koyo Steering Systems is planning to set up an electronic power steering (EPS) plant with a capacity of 1,00,000 units in Haryana with an investment of Rs 35 crore.

This was announced by Surinder Kapoor, CMD of Sona Koyo Steering, today. The unit is expected to go on stream next year, he added.

"We have also received an order for EPSs from General Motors for their new car code named D-200. The order is scheduled to be completed by 2007," Kapoor said.
