Sonalika enters Eastern Europe, launches Solis in Serbia

Farm equipment manufacturer ITL Sonalika Group today said it has entered the Eastern European market with the launch of 'Solis' series of tractors in Serbia.

"Serbia is a reputed agriculture machinery market in Eastern Europe with a strong farmer base that uses modern technology to get high-quality agricultural yield," ITL Sonalika Group Vice-Chairman AS Mittal said, adding the group aimed to provide the right product for the market.

With this, the group  has presence in more than 65 countries with a distribution network of over 1,800 dealers, the group said in a statement.

Sonalika intends to expand further in the European continent, based on the confidence and strong positive feedback from the existing customers, it said.

 

The group is among the top three tractor makers in India,

It manufactures tractors from 30 to 90 HP besides other farm equipment, it said.

In January, the group had announced investments of Rs 100 crore this year to increase its production capacity to 1,00,000 tractors per year from 60,000 at present.

It will set up a new plant in Bihar with an annual production capacity of 20,000 units, besides hiking production capacity of its Hoshiarpur plant by 20,000 units.
