SpiceJet announces special advance purchase fare

Low-cost carrier SpiceJet has announced a special advanced purchase fare to help travellers plan their journey in advance, especially with the upcoming festival season.

Tickets with up to 50 per cent discount on base fare will be available for purchase from August 14, 2008. The scheme is applicable for tickets purchased 15 days prior to the date of travel.

"The festival season in India starts soon and it is the time when families and friends get together. This special offer will help them to plan their visits now. This trend of booking early for holidays is universal. The fare structure that low cost carriers offer encourages travellers to plan their leaves and holidays better,” SpiceJet Chief Commercial Officer Samyukth Sridharan said.

 

Sridharan concluded by adding, "In order to help the business traffic between the Delhi and Mumbai, we are also offering a special promo fare starting Rs. 599."

SpiceJet has also launched Freedom to Fly scheme, effective August 15, 2008, for the Indian Armed Forces. Under this special scheme, each serving Armed Forces personnel enjoys a 100 per
cent discount on basic fare for unlimited tickets.
