SpiceJet will start flights to Silchar and Aizawl from October as the budget airline looks to boost air connectivity in the North East region.
The flights are being introduced with focus to "get the north-eastern states on its pan-India radar," SpiceJet said in a release on Monday.
The carrier would deploy its Bombardier Q-400 fleet for the newly-devised schedule.
"Flights to new sectors effective from October 4, include Kolkata-Silchar-Guwahati; Kolkata-Aizawl-Guwahati; Kolkata- Gorakhpur-Delhi," the release said.
The flight on Kolkata-Visakhapatnam-Kolkata sector would be from November 1. There would also be additional frequencies on Kolkata-Bagdogra and Kolkata-Guwahati routes.

"North East, despite being a crucial tourist locale, has been deprived of good air connectivity. Our new schedule lays special attention on this region, connecting the major hub- points of the seven sister states," SpiceJet Senior VP (commercial) Shilpa Bhatia said.
"We look forward to further strengthen our presence in this market in the near future," she added.
As an introductory offer, there would be all-inclusive fares of Rs 2,127 for Kolkata-Aizawl, Rs 1,899 for Aizawl- Guwahati, Rs 3,699 for Kolkata-Silchar and Rs 4,188 for Silchar-Guwahati sectors.
According to SpiceJet, the introductory all-inclusive fare for Kolkata-Gorakhpur and Gorakhpur-Delhi routes would be Rs 3,210 and Rs 3,335 respectively.
