SRF board clears Rs 260cr expansion

The board of directors of SRF, which met yesterday, approved capital expenditure proposals totalling Rs 268.68 crore.

According to a release issued to the BSE today, the board approved the plan for setting up of a second line of biaxially-oriented polyester (BOPET) film with a capacity of 27,000 metric tonne at an approximate cost of Rs 165 crore.

The meeting also cleared the proposal for setting up a 15 Mw wind power farm in Tamil Nadu at a cost of Rs 92 crore for captive use, and the installation of an uninterrupted power supply system at the technical textiles business (Manali) at a cost of Rs 11.68 crore, the release added.
