SriLankan Airlines adds 3 frequencies on Chennai-Colombo route

Total frequency of flights between Sri Lanka and India goes to 89 flights a week

SriLankan Airlines the national carrier of Sri Lanka has increased three new frequencies on the Chennai - Colombo route. The additional frequencies will operate from August 16. The addition of this flight brings the total frequency of flights between Sri Lanka and India to 89 flights per week.

Airline's Regional Manager for India, Lalith De Silva said that, "Last year we had over 225,000 arrivals on SriLankan Airlines from Chennai to Colombo. It is certain that Chennai is our fastest growing market in Southern India. We see the market as a growing and crucial business hub for Multinationals. The addition in flights is a result of growing passenger traffic from this region".
