Stamford Tyres to invest $10 million in Indian subsidiary

The company plans to expand its distribution network by increasing the number of dealership to 200 from 100 by the end of this calendar year. It also plans to strengthen its supply chain by setting up warehouses across the country.

In an exclusive interaction with Business Standard, Stamford Tyres, Senior Vice-President (sales & marketing), Pat Berriman said, "We see India as a big market for tubeless radial tyres. Further, it is growing at the rate of 10 per cent. So in order to penetrate deeper into the Indian market we will be invest $10 million in our Indian subsidiary. The money will be used for the expansion of the dealer network and on setting up warehouses to strengthen the supply chain."

 

The Company has warehouses in Mumbai, Chandigarh, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai etc. The company plans to add 2-3 locations for the setting up warehouses by the end of this calendar year.

"The company would most probably set up one warehouse in northern region," Berriman added.

The company launched its new Falken ZIEX ZE 912 radial across its distribution network in Northern India.
