SGL Entertainment, a part of the Star Group, has issued a notice to Balaji Telefilms for termination of sourcing content and telecasting of one of Balaji's top rated weekly serials aired on Star Plus.

According to a letter posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) by Balaji, the termination of sourcing content and telecasting of the program, 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' (KSBKBT) will come into effect from November 10, 2008.

However, Balaji has stated that 'it is of the view that the termination is in breach of contractual obligations owned by the Star Group to the company (Balaji Telefilms) and is pursuing all legal remedies available to it in relation to the same.'

KSBKBT, is one of six programs presently being produced by Balaji for the Star Group. The company produces two programs for 9X, one for Zee TV and is also producing two programs that will be launched on NDTV Imagine in this quarter.
