Starlit signs MoU with INGOS

Starlit Infrastructure Ltd, part of Delhi-based Starlit Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Czech Republic’s Infrastructure Company INGOS, for development of small hydros in India.

The MoU has been signed for co-operation in the field of hydro-power and for the development of small hydros in India.

Small hydro powers are being developed by Starlit and the company intends to utilise the expertise of INGOS in areas of construction for these small hydro projects

Sachin Shridhar, managing director Starlit Group maintained the Czech company would assist Starlit in bringing in cutting edge technologies in electro-mechanical packages and best global practices in construction of the small hydro projects.

 

To begin with, INGOS will participate with Starlit in its on-going 5 mega watt power project in Himachal Pradesh and bring in cutting edge technologies in electro-mechanical packages and best global practices in construction of the small hydro.

“The present project in the Himalayan region needs specialized skills in tunneling and enhanced automated elctro-mechanical package configuration. We are confident that the engineering expertise of INGOS will enable us in successfully delivering this project”.

Starlit Infrastructure is eyeing 50MW of electricity generation through small hydro projects by 2020.

This MOU is a beginning of cooperation and it will decide areas of mutual interest for companies in the field of hydro power development, general construction and engineering.

In the first Phase of co-operation, the MoU it envisages an investment of Euro8.25 million(Rs 53-54 crores) which would eventually be scaled up to Rs 400-450 crores by 2020.

The MOU intends to use the expertise of INGOS which will act as the nominated contractors for the Project.
